Kapukahehu Beach

Also known as Dixie Maru Beach...this beautiful cove is at the very end of the road in West Molokai.  A peaceful spot for snorkeling or just relaxing and taking in the view.

Church Cat

A friendly greeter.  While in Kalawao, we stopped at St. Philomena Church.  This was the first church that Father Damien (now Saint Damien) built on the Peninsula.  Apparently, this cat has adopted the church as his home.

Kalawao

A lovely view from Kalawao, the first settlement on the Peninsula.  Not much remains here today as most buildings were eaten by termites.  The only structures still standing are two churches they have maintained, St. Philomena Church and Siloama Church.

Kalaupapa

Heading from the west side to the east side of the Kalaupapa Peninsula, caught a wonderful view of the sea cliffs.

Heading off to Molokai for a few days...I've been wanting to go to this island for several years and am so glad that it's finally happening.  Hopefully, I will bring back some great images!

A Wonderful Hiking Day

Went hiking today with a friend visiting from the Mainland.  Made it even further on the Waimano Ridge Trail.

Not too hot with rain sprinkles at times.  Just lovely!

Lagoon #1

One of my favorite spots to relax...always calm waters and not too many people...

Strawberry guava along the way...yum!
