Came across some really lovely colors, flowers, and plants today.

The Rainbow Shower Trees are in bloom again.  They now signify to me that summer is here.

Birthday

Received a fragrant tuberose lei from my friend today.  Had to wear it all day as the scent was divine.

Dogs can ride too!

How fun is this?  This guy has his little buddy, Harley, in a harness so he can go riding too!

Things could be worse...this was my view while stuck in traffic this afternoon.

Kiawe

In this area behind our neighborhood, they have been cutting down all the trees, most of which is Kiawe.  We don't know why, have heard rumors of a wind farm or a tree farm.  I don't find the Kiawe trees very pretty, but as it turns out, the inner wood is quite appealing.

The Wetlands

Visited the wetlands on Hickam AFB this past Sunday.  It's a cool area with short trails with various signs providing info about the trees, flowers, birds, etc.  I found out that hammerheads and blacktip reef sharks often come into these waters.  They said not to worry, they are not aggressive to humans.  I can't help it, I would still worry a little.

Hau'ula Loop Trail

Some nice views from Hau'ula Loop Trail.  It's been awhile since I've been on a new trail (new to me, that is).  I enjoyed this one & the weather was pretty nice too.

Play Time!

I hope we get some rain soon...There were more fires today!  However, there was also a nice sunset.

Another fire today! This is not good. The latest news report said that homes were being evacuated.  

The smoke did make for an interesting sunset.
